Tony Tony Tony

Hi there,

This post will have to be super short since these 2 furry children are waiting for dinner.

It's hard to believe that a week ago we were in class with Tony M!  This was my first class with him and I am doing Cardinal Cradle which was a good pick for me.  I was able to get through the whole stitch guide without stressing out since these Charlie Harper pieces are abstract and there's not a lot of detail.

Mostly what I heard in class was Tony Tony Tony!  We were a needy group!  I have to admit the nest weaving is tedious but the embellishments will be fun.  That's floral moss tacked down.  When I'm through complaining about weaving the nest I will move on to complaining about outlining the leaves.

Here's what I'm working on while binge watching "Victoria" which I somehow missed when it was originally on TV.  This is an orange that goes with the rest of Molly's fruit and will be placed in my one and only Nantucket Basket that I wove (just looked that past tense up)  in the second week of March.  Yes,  there's been a lot of  weaving in my life recently.

And here is egg #2 which just needs it's ribbon flowers now.  Love the sequin necklace around the one chick.

The two babies in the first picture are now crying so got to go.

Have a Happy Easter,

Linda

Easter Egg Finish

Hi all,

Here's my first egg.  I think it turned out great.  I spent a lot of time compensating the background around the flowers when I should have just done it as charted since the ribbon covers it.  Lesson learned!  On to the next one...

Happy Sunday!

Easter in Progress

Had to put away my Halloween Houses for a few weeks.  Plus I was craving PINK and BLUE thread!  Just the ribbon work left and some touch up on the background.

Have a great weekend!

Should I read, needlepoint or enter another dog show?

I've been reading reading reading lately mainly because I've had a cold and am forcing myself to stay home.  Here's the first sentence of my new book

Under certain circumstances there are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.

What a sentence...probably most of my friends would substitute needlepoint for tea 😀

Here are some photos of my latest and soon to be greatest (Emily already is the greatest)

Can't wait to get this one finished

Melissa Shirley Halloween House #1 (there are 5).  The stitch guides are easy but stitching dark on dark is always hard for me

Kitting up #11 of the 12 days of Christmas....Once I get the gold border in it's pretty straightforward.  Only 2 left!

And my baby..took a first in Agility and then Best in Show

And in case you haven't guessed the first quiz,  I'm reading Portrait of a Lady.  One of the best things about not majoring in English in college is that you have all this wonderful reading to do later on 😀

Have a great weekend!
