Another Heart Done

Here's my third heart - finished in about 4 hours.  I'm moving back to my big class project so that should slow me down!

Shelter in Place Needlepoint

Hi all,

We were going on a cruise starting this weekend which was canceled so I am digging in to my travel stitching.  This is the first of four hearts with stitch guide by Carolyn Hedge Baird.  For once it's good to have a stash ready to go.

I am most likely going to finish my Christmas ornaments early this year. For once!

Stay safe,

Linda

New Year New Decade

Hi all,

We have put 2019 behind us and although we are still doing "moving mop-up" we can breathe now.

I finally finished my fish canvas for my dining room chair at our clubhouse.  I continue to be amazed that people can stitch all their dining room chairs.  You can see the outline where I stopped (hoping that it was enough) and then had to do more.  I hope that I'll be a able to basketweave my rug someday, but right now all I want to finish is the small stuff that's been hanging around waiting!

Here's the chair finished 23" x 23"- not sure how many hours I put into this.  Not sure I want to know.

My first start/finish of 2020!  Blessedly small!

My Halloween House that has demanded to be next

My pillow finishing from a canvas I did several years ago.

I hope to stitch more this year!

Finally I Finished Something!

Hi all,

We are still moving in although we have passed the point where its 24/7 unpacking.  I'm waiting on a new bookcase to be built so I can finish my sewing room/office- hopefully that will happen this month.

All summer I've been basketweaving a chair for our clubhouse dining room.  Let me tell you, I have WAY more respect for people who needlepoint all their dining room chairs.  I'm only doing one and it's not easy to stay excited about it.  We refer to it as the "beast" but actually it's a hogfish.  I have had  a lot of consultation on the colors for this fish as I had only seen one on my plate!  Good thing I have friends who dive.

Here's the Kelly Clark ornament that is one of two that go with the North Pole Amy Home Study.  Just finished this today!  Yea!!  At least I was able to use my brain on this one.

Here's a view of my new back yard - no mowing here!

And my new book - awesome Pulitzer Prize winner last year.  Just had to read it in the forest!  My husband bought me the coolest bench.  Not sure where Emily is in this picture - probably chasing rabbits.  She has definitely died and gone to heaven - me too.

Have a great Thursday - my next finish is a scarf I've been working on forever.  It's so cool here I can wear it around my neck while I knit.  I can hear my friends - "get back to the fish!"

xoxo

March Strawberry

Here's my latest strawberry finish.  This has been a wonderful series and I only have one left which is sad.  Usually I'm really over a series by the time I get to the last one but this time I could just keep on going!

I'm going to keep on plugging away at several projects.  I'm still trying to get my stitching groove back after my big move and finishing ANYTHING big or small is an accomplishment!
