7th Day of Christmas

Hi there,

Who decided there needed to be 12! Days of Christmas?!?!?!  I would have been happy with 7.

Due to extreme weather in Chicago, which they don't even CALL a Polar Vortex anymore I am knitting!  Hopefully my next post will be a scarf!!

Happy stitching,

Linda

Wounded UFO Warriors

Hi there,

I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year's holiday.  Ours was safe but not uneventful.  I store almost all of my needlepoint works in progress in my daughter's closet with the BIG ones in their own bags on the floor.  Maybe not such a good idea...those pretty bags are not watertight.

On New Year's Eve morning we awoke to mysterious water coming out of  the wall in our carport.   When the plumber came he asked the all important question..."What's on the other side of this wall?"  You can only imagine the thoughts going through my head...MY STASH!!!  Then you have to ask yourself, are you ready for your husband and the plumber to actually SEE your stash?

First a happy Christmas picture.  Here's Caroline with Inga - I wish I'd done a video :-)

Here is what stitch guides look like when they are drying all over your kitchen and dining room

Here's thread drying- check out the bleeding

And here are the "wounded warriors"  airing out

I'm going to tackle them one at a time starting with the creche.  Amy suggested I get new thread to replace what got wet.  Most of the thread was in Ziploc bags which turned out to be a life saver.  Even though it's drying well, it was sitting in well water and that can't be good long term.

Happy stitching !
