Hi everyone,
We have had a BUSY day here...dog show in the morning and needlepoint in the afternoon. If you live in Miami you are "sheltering in place" as they say because everything about Memorial Day screams TRAFFIC.
Here we are this morning earning our FIRST ribbons in Rally! Next time I will wear a better outfit :-) The yellow one is for third place in our group and the green one is for our first leg towards our Novice title. I don't care how you get it...the first one is the BEST! And Emily did not jump on the judge!!!
This afternoon I finished #2 out of 3 candy cane ornaments...guess I'm going to have to add one for Emily now
For the next several days I need to work on the secret project for our outgoing ANG chapter President so I can't show you that. But I am going to take a picture of the background to post after she gets the piece. You are going to love it.
Have a safe weekend,
Linda

Another Horror of ISIS
Hi everyone,
I know this is a needlepoint blog but I'm working on my Row of Ladies and Ruth takes tons better photos than I do so I am going to show you some of my home photos that we took when we were in Palmyra, Syria. If you have never been there you have missed one of the most amazing places on earth. A stunning ancient city that rises out of the desert.
My husband is enthralled with ancient ruins and we took a trip especially to see the ruins of Palmyra. What is being done there is beyond anything that can be imagined. ISIS is destroying the heritage of an entire region. When these poor people finally recover from this scourge what will they have left?
Yes, it really is this beautiful..have a wonderful Memorial Day and remember how truly blessed we are to live in the United States of America.

Christmas Homework #1
Hi there,
I realize it's only May but....it's time for me to knock off the Christmas homework. This year I'm reaching into my stash and doing candy canes.
Here's #1
And here's a photo of my baby who will be competing in her first dog trial in 2 weeks. She looks completely unconcerned :-) She already is a champion dish washer :-)
Have a great weekend and Mother's Day,
Linda

Autumn Critters
Here's the first one! These are TINY TINY canvases... just like the firecrackers from last year. I think this year will be all about autumn. I have lots of half finished (my autumn candle) and barely started (Elegant Thanksgiving) autumn pieces that are crying out to be finished.
Have a wonderful Sunday xoxo
